History - A Brief History of the Cold War

Friday 2.30 - 4.30

For five decades following World War 2, the Cold War produced tensions that could bring the world to the brink of nuclear war. It saw Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Africa torn apart by conflicts often generated by the superpower rivalry of the Soviet Union and the USA.
Looking from the viewpoint of those two main superpowers, this course will explore the origins, development and the end of the Cold War 1945-1991.
