Current Economic Issues

A weekly discussion of a range of current economic issues, both national and global. Notes will be provided as a starting point for the discussions. Topics will probably include: the progress of the Brexit negotiations; the continuing debate arising from the June General Election; economic development in China, India and other countries; “Trumponomics”; the UK’s trading and investment relations with the rest of the world; an update on discussions about productivity, new technologies, demographic change and the environment. Other topics that interest you can be suggested and the sessions will be flexible in order to respond to the rapidly changing economic situation.
