Architectural History

This course is designed as an introduction to the development of buildings in structure and style from the ancient world to the present day, with a particular focus on British architecture. It will aim to foster an appreciation of the methods and achievements of past societies in this field. Completion of this course will help you to ‘read’ the buildings around us today, deriving greater understanding of how and why they were built, and built in the style that they were.
