The Ipswich Tourist Guides are hosted by the Ipswich Institute.
You do not have to be a member of the Institute to come on one of the walks.
The Ipswich Tourist Guides Association is a small independent group of volunteers who organise guided walks within Ipswich.
Tuesday and Thursday walks
(£6 per person)
Entertaining and informative Ipswich guided walks
are available from May to September.
Walks start at 2pm from our central Ipswich location at Admiral’s House on Tower Street, Ipswich.
Tea Walks
(£12 per person)
These themed walks around Ipswich run from October to April. Each walk finishes with tea and cake at the Institute, or one of the many cafes in town. Tea walks usually start at 1.30pm from Admiral’s House on Tower Street, Ipswich .
Group Walks
Would you like a Guided Walk for your group? It could be for a family, a club, or with business colleagues.
Simply email
ipswichtouristguides@gmail.com to agree the date and walk requirements. Please also attach a completed draft
Group Booking Form.
The cost of the walk will be £6 per head, with a deposit of £60. Special rate for schools and youth groups
£4 per child (accompanying adults free).
Once the date and details have been agreed, Ipswich Institute will invoice you for the deposit as final confirmation of your walk.
All walks start and finish at Admiral’s House in Tower Street, but alternatives can be arranged.
