Members’ Courses
Enrolment on our daytime learning programme is open to Institute members.
Courses run Monday to Friday afternoon in both 15 Tavern Street, IP1 3AA & the Admiral’s House at 13 Tower Street, Ipswich IP1 3BE.
You have to be an Institute member to book onto these courses. Our
‘Courses For All’ are open to members and non-members.

Every year, the Ipswich Institute has an extensive programme of leisure learning courses, talks and trips.

Daytime courses can be booked from

Bookings can be made either:
Online, via our Online Shop (day courses will appear there at 9am on 26/08/25),
In person, at the Library Reception Desk (15 Tavern Street), Monday-Saturday, 9AM-4PM,
By sending a cheque made payable to the ‘Ipswich Institute’ with your name, address and chosen course details attached. Postal address: Ipswich Institute, 15 Tavern Street, Ipswich IP1 3AA
TRIPS, TALKS, SATURDAY WORKSHOPS AND GUIDED WALKS ARE OPEN FOR BOOKINGS NOW!
You can pick up a paper copy of the programme as well as booking terms & conditions from the Library.
Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellations must be made in writing by post or email (library@ipswichinstitute.org.uk).
A refund of fees paid will be granted, subject to the following:
• Cancellations made within 14 days of booking will receive a full refund. If your course starts within the 14-day period, you must pay for the value of the sessions and services you have received.
• Cancellations made after the 14-day cancellation period and no later than 7 days before the start date will be eligible for a refund minus 10% of the course price.
• Cancellations later than 7 days before the start date are not eligible for a refund.
• If you start your course and you find that it doesn’t match the description you were given, you can request a refund under the Consumer Rights Act.
